Voting

TAPA uses Simply Voting to process all ballots for elections.  ALL VOTING WILL TAKE PLACE ONLINE FOR THESE ELECTIONS.
Please watch for an email from Simply Voting.  This email will have a unique username and password and a direct voting link that is coded just for you. 

Please remember that only Fellow and Associate members may vote in this election.  If you are a Fellow or Associate member and did not receive an email, please email the TAPA office to request an email be sent to you with login information for Simply Voting. 

PRESIDENT-ELECT

Description: The president-elect shall assume the duties of the president in his or her absence and succeed to the office of president should that office become vacant. This is a 3  year commitment. The President-Elect will serve as President-Elect the first year, President the second year and Immediate Past President the third year.

Qualifications: Candidates for President Elect must have accumulated at a minimum, two distinct years of experience in the past five years in one of the following major areas of professional involvement; TAPA board experience in any elected position or serving as a TAPA committee chair.

SECRETARY

Description: The secretary records all changes approved by the BOD relating to the Bylaws, Policies, and Procedures and shall be responsible for keeping minutes at each BOD meeting. This is a 2-year commitment.

Qualifications: Candidates for Vice President must have one year of experience in a leadership role in any organization.


DIRECTORS-AT-LARGE

Two (2) positions available

Description: Directors-at-Large represent the general membership of TAPA. Directors-at-large are responsible for ensuring that all members are heard and represented in any Board of Directors actions. Each Director-at-Large shall perform other such duties as assigned by the president or the board. This is a 2 year commitment.

Qualifications: Candidates for Director-at-Large are encouraged have at least one year of experience in a leadership role in any organization.

AAPA HOD DELEGATES

Five (5) positions available

Description: TAPA delegates to the AAPA House of Delegates represent the interests of TAPA on a national level. Individuals elected as delegates will attend the annual AAPA  conference to attend the 4 day AAPA HOD proceedings. TAPA will handle the airfare and provide the Delegate with an additional $600 stipend for the conference. This is a 2 year term. Individuals elected will serve for the 2020 & 2021 AAPA conferences.*

Qualifications: Candidates are encouraged to have experience with parliamentary procedure.

*AAPA HOD Delegates are encouraged to attend at least one board meeting (preferably in the spring) and are only required to attend the AAPA Annual PA Conference during their two-year term.
