Dear Colleagues, 

The Austin Regional Infusion Center currently reports having PLENTY of capacity for your patients, and in fact has several appointments still available today if you have anyone that qualifies. The therapy is free to patients regardless of insurance status. 

Here is a simplified fillable form that can be emailed or faxed in to the infusion center. Patients can also be referred by phone. The eligibility criteria are on the form but in short, they include:

  • Patient is not asymptomatic; and has mild to moderate illness as noted by all of the following criteria:
    • Is not hospitalized due to COVID-19; OR
    • Does not require hospitalization due to COVID-19 and has oxygen saturation (SpO2) ≥ 90% on room air at sea level, OR
  • Patient is not:
    • Day 10 or greater since symptom onset
    • If pregnant, not cleared with OBGYN (lactation and pregnancy)
  • Patient is pre-symptomatic and in any one of the following high-risk categories:
    • age 65+
    • BMI 35+
    • CKD
    • diabetes
    • immunosuppression
    • age 55+ with cardiovascular disease, COPD, or HTN.
    • age 12-17 WITH any of the following:
      • >85 percentile for age and gender
      • congenital or acquired heart disease
      • neurodevelopmental disorders
      • asthma or other chronic respiratory disease
      • a medical-related technology dependence such as tracheostomy, gastrostomy, or positive pressure ventilation
