TCMS/AISD Athletic Physicals
  
Each year, TCMS has partnered with AISD to provide underinsured student athletes with the physicals they need to play sports, march in band, and cheer in school. Physicians, residents, medical students, nurses, and physician assistants are needed for each of the following three nights in May.

Note: GU/hernia exams on boys will NOT be included this year based on current recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dell Medical School Update

Following Match Day, a record 169 new residents and fellows are headed to Austin. All Dell Medical School students pursuing residency matched to programs spanning 18 states — with half staying to train in Texas. More Match Day news »
 
As part of renewed interest in using psychedelics to treat severe mental health conditions, especially for people who have not had success with more traditional treatments — people like U.S. Army veteran Devon Thomas  — Dell Med researchers have launched the Center for Psychedelic Research and Therapy . Dell Med will offer students a new dual-degree master’s program in humanities, health, and medicine in collaboration with UT Austin’s College of Liberal Arts. It’s designed to produce physician leaders who bring humanistic knowledge, skills and frameworks to their work caring for patients, collaborating with other health professionals, and addressing challenges and opportunities within the health system.
