The 2025 HCMS President Dwane G. Broussard, MD, and 2025 HAM President Hattie E. Henderson, MD, along with the other HCMS and HAM officers, were installed into office. Additionally, HAM honored%u00a0R. Hal Scofield, MD,%u00a0with the John P. McGovern Compleat Physician Award. This national awardrecognizes a physician who embodies excellence, humane andethical care, and commitment to medical humanities.Dwane G. Broussard, MD, a family medicine physician, was installed as the 2025 President of HCMS. Dr. Broussard graduated from Louisiana State University and Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Dr. Broussard completed his family practice medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is the immediate past president of HAM. Dr. Broussard has been in clinical practice in the Memorial City area for more than 25 years. He also is a volunteer associate clinical professor at Baylor College of Medicine. He remains active in various community service organizations.Hattie E. Henderson, MD, a geriatric care physician and U.S. Marine Corps veteran, was installed as the 2025 HAM President. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and Wright State University School of Medicine, she completed her residency in family and community medicine and a geriatrics fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Henderson serves on the TMA Council on Science and Public Health and served on the TMA Council on Health Service Organizations. She also is serving on the Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Advisory Council for Texas Health and Human Services. Dr. Henderson also is active in church ministries and serves as her church%u2019s Charter Organization Representative for the Boy Scout Troop.Doctors Broussard and Henderson will serve as presidents for one-year terms, ending Dec. 31, 2025.Additional officers installed were HCMS PresidentElect Louise H.
